June 20, 20241 min read

Here's the skinny on how to make the images in your ads pop!
Watch the video as I walk you through a design or two.

Don't:

  1. Use dark images.

  2. Have too many words.

  3. Does not reflect the product.

  4. Make it jumbled; confusing.

Do:

  1. Use Light or Bright Colors.

  2. Have People doing action in your images.

  3. Reflect what the product is or is about.

  4. Keep it simple.

Human Behavior

  • People tend to look at images starting in the top left and zig zag down to the bottom right.

  • People hate confusion.

  • People connect with the familiar and places they want to be.

  • People connect best with images that spark a high emotional response.

For more about how human behavior is impacted by Advertising, here's a lengthy and wordy research paper you will undoubtedly never read, but perhaps you can glean a few tidbits from.

Check your Ads:

  1. Zoom in and out to see if it the ad still pops when it's small vs. large.

  2. Try looking at it with a white backdrop vs. a black to see how it impacts visually.

  3. Have other people look at it. - It's tough to create in a vacuum. Get some outside opinions.

That's it! I hope this helps you choose images for your ads which will help your business flourish!
